The road to obtaining your motorcycle license is not as complex as it might seem. Let Bikes'R'Safe guide you!

This glosses over a few details, which you can find on the DVLA website or by reading the full flowcharts further down this page:

Before you can ride a motorcycle or moped on the road, you'll probably need to take CBT.
Before you can take a practical test, you'll probably need to take a theory test. Try an online mock theory test.
If you take a practical test on a smaller motorcycle (typically with a 125cc engine), you'll be restricted to small bikes for two years...
... unless you turn 21 in that time and take an Accelerated Access test, after which you can ride anything.
If you are over 21 you may take a practical "Direct Access" test on a bigger motorcycle, such as an ER5. After this, you'll be allowed to ride anything you want to straight away.
